Attorney James Ekleberry is a graduate of Wayne State University (2010) and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law (2013). Licensed to practice law in Michigan since 2014, James has focused his practice on representing motor vehicle accident victims and negligence victims. James primarily litigates first party auto no-fault (PIP) claims, third party auto negligence claims, and premises liability claims. James joined the firm as a law clerk in August of 2012 and was promoted to an attorney position after obtaining his license to practice law.

James was drawn to the practice of civil litigation after his own experience dealing with auto insurance carriers and a negligent driver; just prior to entering law school, James was riding his bike home from his summer job when he was struck by a driver who did not see him. After spending 10 days in the hospital and undergoing multiple surgeries, James was obliged to step into the world of civil litigation. Through his experience, James gained valuable insight into the insurance claim process that follows a motor vehicle accident. This insight continues to aid James in his practice and helps him to relate to clients who are physically suffering while trying to navigate the insurance claim and litigation process.

James is also proud to be named as one of the Top 40 Under 40 Civil Plaintiff Attorneys in the State of Michigan by The National Trial Lawyers, having received the honor in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023.
